In October 2021, just days after celebrating my birthday, I received news that would change my life forever—I was diagnosed with breast cancer. At the time, I was already fighting leukemia, which I had been diagnosed with earlier that April. What began as one battle suddenly became two, and for more than four years now, I’ve been walking a path I never imagined—one marked by pain, perseverance, and profound faith.
This journey has not been easy. There have been moments of fear, loss, and uncertainty—but also moments of joy, gratitude, and a strength I didn’t know I possessed. Through it all, my faith has been my anchor. Love from family, friends, and my community has been my fuel. And I’ve learned that true healing extends beyond the body—it’s a restoration of the spirit.
To anyone fighting right now, please know this: you are not alone. Your scars are not signs of defeat—they are symbols of survival. Your tears are not weakness—they are the waters that nourish your courage. Every step, every struggle, every breath is proof that there is beauty even in the midst of battle.
I live each day with this affirmation: “Whether I stay or go, I’m healed.” It reminds me that victory isn’t defined by the outcome—it’s defined by the faith to keep standing. So to every warrior reading this: keep fighting, keep shining, and never forget—you are stronger than you think, more radiant than you know, and more victorious than you realize.
