Shaping A Generation That Thinks Differently:The Stinky Little Kids Series and Mastermind

Victoria Poole: Shaping A Generation That Thinks Differently

I am not just writing books. I am building something that is meant to last.

I created the Stinky Little Kid book series and mastermind because I saw a need that was not being met. I created my books for children who need to better understand their emotions; children who have dealt with bullying, sibling and individual comparison, disappointment, and having issues with speaking up. These are real experiences, and too often, children are left to navigate them without guidance or a safe place.

Is the African American family in trouble? How did we get here?
After a year of singles coaching, I realized there was a gap in the African American culture that was dividing both males and females from building healthy relationships. I began to see that many individuals were forming negative perspectives based on past trauma, bad experiences, assumptions, and a lack of accountability.

To make matters worse, podcasters began to validate harmful beliefs and behaviors because they were trauma bonding with listeners and had not done the work to heal themselves before offering advice.

That reality weighed heavily on my spirit and my mental. I knew something had to change.
I prayed, and God revealed to me that I needed to skip the adults and go straight to the children. That is how the Stinky Little Kid book series and mastermind were birthed.

Personality and Representation: The Characters Spotlight
Riley Kennedy is my favorite character, of course. She is the main character in three of the four books and makes a special appearance in the fourth. She is a constant reminder of my growth and my determination to overcome any situation that has been thrown my way. If you have not figured it out already, Riley Kennedy is me in character form.

At the same time, every character I have created holds value. After creating Jeremiah Finally Speaks, I even found myself questioning if Jeremiah might be my favorite. That is how personal this work is for me.

The Takeaway
I want my readers to gain perspective and emotional intelligence. The majority of our problems can be solved if we change how we view situations, individuals, and our circumstances.

Emotions are the driving force behind our decisions. If we can learn to control our minds and not allow our minds to control us, our lives and situations can become more peaceful.

As the Bible says, “So a man thinks, so is he.”

The Energy Behind the Brand
If I had to describe my series in one color, it would be orange. It is bold, bright, and keeps people on their toes. That is exactly what this series is designed to do.

Everything I create is intentional. Every story has a purpose. Every message is meant to spark conversation, challenge thinking, and help children and families grow.

Who said masterminds are just for adults?
The Stinky Little Kid Mastermind was created to give TEENS a safe, structured space to grow mentally, emotionally, and socially. This is where the lessons from the books come to life.

In this space, children are taught how to understand their emotions, communicate effectively, build confidence, and challenge the way they think. We focus on breaking generational cycles, developing emotional intelligence, and helping them make better decisions in real time.

This is not just a program where kids sit and listen. This is a space where they speak, process, question, and grow. It is about giving them the tools early so they do not have to spend their adult years unlearning unhealthy patterns.

To the Writers Coming After Me
Always tell your truth, and always keep a notepad near you, even when you sleep. Your ideas do not wait for convenience.

In addition, I have expanded this work beyond books by offering one-on-one children’s book coaching through Visions of Validation, and I am currently developing a course to help others create the perfect book.

Finished… Naaaaaawwww!
There are currently four books in the series, and I hope to create at least one more.

Books That Left an Imprint on My Soul and Introduced Me to Myself
I draw inspiration from books like The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz and The Game of Life and How to Play It by Florence Scovel Shinn. They reinforce the importance of mindset, alignment, and accountability.

Say It With Your Chest
“If one asks for success but prepares for failure, he will get the situation he prepares for.” – Florence Scovel Shinn

This quote reminds me that it is you versus you. Your mindset and what you speak can destroy you quicker than any so called enemy. We ultimately can create the experience we want to have; nobody is stopping you but you.

Aye, Check This! I’m Always Gon Be Me… I’m Not for Everybody
If I could leave a lasting impression, it would be wrapped in honesty, self accountability, and preserving your mental health. I practice these daily, and they have brought me a great deal of peace. People often say that my honesty has a way of stinging, but it impacts in a way that makes them change what was holding them back. Whether it confirms something they already knew or it is the first time someone told them what they needed to hear, I am going to tell you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear. You cannot grow based on lies.

What most do not understand is that I hold myself to the same standards. I do not lie to myself, I challenge my own thoughts, take responsibility for my actions, and acknowledge my capacity level. All of these have helped me build a strong level of emotional intelligence.

If I can help an individual do the same through writing, coaching, and showing up for myself, then I know I have done exactly what I was called to do.

I am not here for the coddling. I am here for the transformation.

Ecstatically Yours,

Victoria Poole
