MonaLesa Diamond Brackett Makes History As The First Muslim Hijabi Ever to Compete For Miss USA!!

NEW YORK, NY — MonaLesa Diamond Brackett is making history as the reigning Miss New Hampshire USA and the first Muslim Hijabi state title holder to compete at Miss USA, where she earned a Top 16 finalist placement at Miss USA 2025. Competing in full modest attire, including a hijab and burkini. Brackett continues to expand the narrative of inclusion and representation in American pageantry, boldly challenging traditional beauty standards while honoring her faith.

A Brooklyn native, entrepreneur, educator, and licensed New York real estate professional, Brackett is the founder of “The Real Estate Fairy”, a mission driven real estate initiative dedicated to helping individuals experiencing homelessness secure stable housing through voucher programs and advocacy.

Beyond housing access, she teaches youth financial literacy and actively participates in park restoration and community service initiatives as a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.

MonaLesa’s historic appearance followed a ground breaking run at Miss New York USA, where she became the first Hijabi to place in the Top 5 finishing at 2nd Runner Up, cementing her place as a transformative figure in modern pageantry. After a decade long hiatus from competition and following the removal of the age cap by the Miss USA and Miss Universe organizations.
Her return represents resilience, faith, and the power of perseverance.

Brackett remains dedicated to representing the unrepresented and serving the underserved.

“It is my hope that more unique and diverse individuals step to the forefront because we are just as qualified as others and it’s time, she said.” Through faith, service, and fearless visibility, MonaLesa Brackett continues to redefine what leadership and legacy look like on and off the national stage.
