RoSolo: Rhonda Fleming-Solomon: Life Coach, Media Pheonix, Philathropist

Name:  Rhonda “RoSolo” Solomon – The Phoenixx

Q: Tell us a little about your family dynamics.
A: I am a proud mother of four exceptionally beautiful children and grandmother to three amazing girls, and family is truly the heartbeat of everything I do. My children and grandchildren are my greatest inspiration and the driving force behind my focus, determination, and growth. Creating a lasting legacy for them keeps me motivated to lead with purpose and integrity in every area of my life. My Caribbean roots and upbringing instilled in me the values of resilience, community, and love—values I strive to live by and pass down to the next generation.

Q: What are your hobbies and pastimes?
A: I truly enjoy immersing myself in all things Caribbean—whether it’s the food, the rhythms of the music, or the vibrancy of the culture, it feeds my spirit and keeps me connected to my roots. Community involvement is also close to my heart; I find fulfillment in engaging with others to celebrate, promote, and strengthen our bonds. Another passion of mine is storytelling—whether through media, speaking, or writing—because it gives me the opportunity to inspire, uplift, and create meaningful connections. I also have a love for travel and exploring new experiences, and while I haven’t done it as much as I would like, I look forward to making it a bigger part of my life.

Q: What is your business or talent?
A: I am a Media Correspondent, Lifestyle Coach, Speaker, and International Bestselling Author. My greatest talent lies in connecting with people on a deeper level—empowering them to recognize their potential and creating spaces where they feel truly seen, heard, and inspired.

Beyond my personal interests, my academic background in Project Management and Human Resource Management have given me the privilege of opening doors and providing opportunities for individuals who may not have had them otherwise.

Whether through media, coaching, or storytelling, my work is all about influence with impact—helping others grow, thrive, and create legacies of their own.

That ability to empower others, both in my career and in my community, is something I carry into everything I do.

Q: Where are you from?
A: I was born in Boston, Massachusetts, to Caribbean parents who were pursuing their own version of the American Dream. My mother is from Jamaica and my father is from Trinidad. I like to describe myself as “American born, Yardie raised, Trini to the bone,” which reflects my rich and diverse Caribbean heritage and continues to shape my identity, values, and the way I connect with others.

Q: Where do you live now?
A: I currently live in a small city outside of metro Atlanta.

Q: What are you passionate about?
A: I am deeply passionate about empowering individuals to navigate life’s most challenging moments, especially difficult breakups and divorce, helping them find clarity, healing, and a renewed sense of purpose. I am committed to being the voice of the voiceless—advocating for those who may feel overlooked, unheard, or marginalized, and ensuring their stories are acknowledged and valued. This passion is fueled by my own life challenges and the lessons I’ve learned in navigating storms while emerging stronger and unscathed. I also love curating businesses and initiatives that support mental, physical, and spiritual growth, creating environments where people can thrive holistically. What drives me is the opportunity to guide others toward transformation, helping them reclaim their power and embrace their fullest potential, while inspiring them to live authentically and leave a meaningful legacy.

Q: What’s the driving force behind your passion?
A: The driving force behind my passion is my own journey. After my divorce, I found myself starting over with no job, an empty bank account, and the painful loss of friendships I thought were lifelong. I faced judgment from people I trusted, and at times, the weight of it all felt overwhelming. Yet, through faith, determination, and spiritual fortitude, I rose from that storm like a phoenix—stronger, wiser, and more committed than ever. My experience taught me that even in life’s darkest moments, you can rebuild, thrive, and create a meaningful life. Most importantly, I wanted to show my children—especially my daughters—that trusting God, believing in yourself, and holding onto your values allows you to overcome any challenge. That journey of transformation fuels my work every day, inspiring me to help others navigate their struggles and rise to their fullest potential.

Q: What is your skill set?
A: I bring over 25 years of management experience in corporate America, where I began my journey as a young professional and was promoted to management at the age of 23. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of leading diverse teams, managing complex projects, and shaping human resources initiatives that empowered employees and elevated organizational performance. These experiences taught me how to inspire, motivate, and bring out the best in people—lessons I carry into every conversation and interaction.

As a Media Correspondent, I’ve translated that business acumen into the art of interviewing, cultivating engaging and authentic dialogues with musicians, authors, entrepreneurs, philanthropists, actors, and individuals who have faced legal or personal challenges. I’ve had the honor of interviewing people across all age groups, and my approach ensures that every interviewee feels their story will be conveyed with integrity, respect, grace, and empathy. My strength lies in creating a safe, dynamic space where people can share their truths, reflect on their journeys, and inspire others. My background in leadership, project management, and human resources gives me a unique ability to connect deeply, ask thoughtful questions, and make every conversation both meaningful, engaging and impactful.

Q: What sets you apart from others in your field?
A: What truly sets me apart is my unwavering authenticity. I bring my whole self to every platform—whether coaching, hosting, or speaking—and I remain steadfast in my beliefs in all decisions and interactions. My journey has taught me the power of integrity and the importance of an empathic spirit, showing me that genuine success can only come from staying true to who I am. My identity is rooted in authenticity, and it’s this foundation that allows me to engage deeply, build trust, and create meaningful connections with others. Coupled with my Caribbean roots, diverse experiences, and fearless resilience, I am able to connect in ways that are both profound and empowering, inspiring people to embrace their own truth and live fully.

Q: What is your purpose in life?
A: My purpose in life is to encourage others to uncover their true identity, cultivate a love affair with their passions, and live fully in their purpose. But arriving at that clarity was anything but easy. There were times when I didn’t believe in myself, weighed down by life’s challenges and the opinions of others. For a period, I lost trust in humanity and felt disconnected from my own purpose, almost giving up entirely. Depression nearly broke me, and I questioned whether I could ever rise above my circumstances. It was through navigating those darkest moments, leaning on my faith, and trusting God to guide me that I began to truly understand my “why.” Those trials became the crucible that shaped my purpose—showing me that even in the midst of despair, we can find clarity, resilience, and the courage to live authentically. Today, my purpose is to help others do exactly that: embrace their truth, rise above their challenges, and walk boldly in the life they were meant to lead.

Q: If you could choose any career in the world, would you still choose your current path?
A: Absolutely. Ever since high school, I’ve been driven by a desire to help others—so much so that I dreamed of becoming a psychologist. At the time, the opinions of others influenced my path, and I chose a different direction academically. But here I am, living my true calling: helping people navigate their challenges, guiding them toward healing, growth, and purpose. Coaching, media, and speaking allow me to do exactly what I’ve always wanted—to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. By God’s grace, I will be pursuing my Master’s in Psychology in 2026, further equipping me to serve others and walk fully in my purpose.

Q: What would you tell your younger self?
A: I would tell my younger self: “Be patient with yourself. Every setback is preparing you for a greater comeback. Stay fearless.” Most importantly, I would tell her that she is enough, and once she truly knows that, she will no longer seek validation from others to feel complete. I would remind her that it’s okay to feel uncertain, to make mistakes, and to face challenges—they are all part of shaping her resilience and wisdom. I would encourage her to trust her intuition, stay rooted in her faith, and never compromise her integrity or authenticity for the approval of anyone else. Life’s journey to discovering her purpose may be full of twists and turns, but every experience—good or bad—will mold her into a compassionate, empowered, and unwaveringly strong woman. Above all, I would tell her that she already possesses everything she needs to thrive, and by embracing her worth and trusting God’s guidance, she will inspire and uplift countless others along the way.

Q: Knowing what you know now, would you change anything in your past?
A: No, I wouldn’t change a thing. Every experience, even the most painful and challenging, played a crucial role in shaping the person I am today. The hardships taught me resilience, the disappointments taught me patience, and the setbacks taught me discernment. They gave me the insight to navigate life with greater wisdom, compassion, and purpose. Each moment prepared me to connect deeply with others, to understand their struggles, and to offer guidance with authenticity and empathy. Looking back, I see that every obstacle, every difficult decision, and every moment of uncertainty was a stepping stone toward growth, clarity, and the ability to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those I serve. My past has not only built my character but also strengthened my commitment to living intentionally and helping others rise through their own challenges.

Q: Who are your role models?
A: My role models are strong, fearless women—both within my family and throughout my community—who inspire me with their resilience, leadership, and unwavering commitment to making a difference. Women like Maya Angelou, whose words and life radiated wisdom, courage, and authenticity, and Claudia Jones, a visionary activist who fought tirelessly for social justice, continue to inspire me.

The women in media within my community inspire me daily—they keep me moving, encourage me to persevere, and remind me not to let life stop me. I don’t have to call names because they know who they are, but their energy, courage, and dedication fuel my own drive.

I was raised by very strong Caribbean women, and their influence shaped my values, work ethic, and sense of purpose. My biggest role model, however, has always been my aunt. Her grace and strength as a wife, educator, and leader have shaped my perspective on purpose and service. I have seen firsthand the love and respect her students and her community have for her—she has been a staple, a guiding force, and a pillar of integrity and inspiration. Watching her navigate life with such poise and impact instilled in me the values of commitment, empathy, and leadership, and she continues to serve as a constant example of what it means to live fully, give selflessly, and uplift those around you.

Q: What would you say to those just starting in your field?
A: I would tell them to stay authentic, stay consistent, and always remember why they started. In a field that can be competitive and challenging, your unique story and voice are your greatest superpowers—they are what will set you apart and allow you to make a lasting impact. Be patient with yourself, embrace every learning opportunity, and don’t be afraid to take risks or make mistakes; each challenge is a stepping stone toward growth and mastery. Surround yourself with people who uplift and inspire you, and seek mentors who will guide you while allowing you to maintain your individuality. Most importantly, never compromise your integrity or authenticity for the sake of fitting in or gaining approval—your truth, passion, and resilience will resonate more deeply than any trend or technique. Remember that this journey is not just about professional success; it’s about creating meaningful connections, inspiring others, and leaving a legacy you can be proud of.

Q: What is your favorite quote, and why?
A: My favorite quote is, “Be fearless in the pursuit of what sets your soul on fire.” This embodies my life philosophy and serves as a guiding principle in everything I do. Life is full of challenges, setbacks, and moments that test our courage, but this quote reminds me that fear cannot dictate my path. It encourages me to pursue my passions relentlessly, even when the journey feels uncertain or the outcome is unclear. For me, it’s about living with intention, trusting my instincts, and stepping boldly into opportunities that align with my purpose. It also inspires me to encourage others to do the same—to embrace their gifts, rise above obstacles, and live authentically. This philosophy has carried me through personal storms, professional challenges, and moments of doubt, reminding me that courage and conviction are the keys to creating a life of fulfillment, impact, and joy.

Q: What or who has inspired your gift and vision?
A: My gift and vision have been shaped by my Caribbean heritage, the community around me, my personal journey through life’s challenges, and most importantly, my children. Growing up immersed in Caribbean culture taught me the importance of resilience, creativity, and a deep sense of community, which are values I carry into everything I do. The strong, fearless women in my family and community showed me what it means to lead with integrity, courage, and compassion, inspiring me to use my own voice to empower others.

My personal experiences—navigating hardships, overcoming setbacks, and rebuilding my life after difficult moments—have fueled my desire to uplift and guide others. These challenges taught me empathy, patience, and the power of authenticity, and they drive me to create spaces where people feel seen, heard, and encouraged to embrace their true selves. My children are a constant motivation; their lives inspire me to lead by example and to show them that with faith, resilience, and purpose, anything is possible. My vision is to use my platform, my story, and my skills to inspire transformation, helping others turn struggles into strengths and live with intention, while also creating a legacy they can carry forward.

Q: What is your favorite holiday, and why?
A: My favorite holiday is Christmas. It has always been a time of family, culture, and community for me, and it holds a special place in my heart. Growing up, Christmas was not just about gifts or decorations—it was about the warmth of being together, sharing meals, celebrating traditions, and creating memories that would last a lifetime. It brings me back to my Caribbean roots, reminding me of the vibrant music, flavors, and customs that shaped my childhood and instilled in me the importance of connection, gratitude, and generosity.

As an adult and a mother, Christmas has become even more meaningful because it’s a time to show my children the value of family, faith, and giving. I cherish creating traditions with them, teaching them to celebrate their heritage, and passing down the joy, love, and togetherness that I experienced growing up. The holiday is a beautiful reminder of the power of community, the significance of nurturing relationships, and the magic that happens when hearts come together in celebration, reflection, and gratitude.

Q: Do you have any regrets?
A: I don’t hold onto regrets. Every experience in my life, even the painful ones, has been a teacher—shaping me, strengthening me, and guiding me toward my purpose. I try to live intentionally, learning from every situation instead of wishing things were different, and I use those lessons to grow and to help others navigate their own challenges.

A friend of mine who owns several hospice facilities once shared something that stayed with me: she said that 95% of the patients in her facilities express regrets in their final days—things they wish they had done differently, opportunities they didn’t take, or words left unsaid. That conversation reminded me how important it is to live with courage, authenticity, and purpose every single day. I want to be part of that 5% who can face the end of life knowing they fully embraced their journey, pursued their passions, and made meaningful connections along the way. This awareness fuels everything I do—my work, my relationships, and my commitment to helping others live boldly, love deeply, and leave a legacy they can be proud of.

Q: What has been your biggest accomplishment?
A: One of my biggest accomplishments has been starting a career in media and building an international platform with no prior experience. Stepping into that world was intimidating, but I trusted my voice, my story, and my passion for connecting with others. Along the way, I also became an International Bestselling Author, which was a milestone that validated my ability to inspire and empower people across the globe.

Equally important to me is creating my coaching program for women navigating life after divorce—a way to turn my personal struggles into a platform for empowerment and healing. Every step of this journey has been motivated by my children. I wanted to show them, especially my daughters, that even in the face of challenges, you can rise, pursue your dreams, and create a meaningful life. My accomplishments are not just personal victories; they are proof to my children—and to the women I serve—that resilience, faith, and purpose can transform life’s obstacles into opportunities for impact and legacy.

Q: What’s a fun fact about you?
A: I’m affectionately known as “The Phoenixx” because I’ve always found a way to rise stronger after every challenge, but there’s so much more to me! I have an immense love for music and dancing—there’s nothing like moving to the rhythm and letting the joy of Caribbean beats fill the room. I also love to cook and am known among family and friends as an exceptional cook, always bringing flavor, creativity, and love to every dish I prepare. Music, dance, and cooking are all ways I express my spirit, celebrate life, and connect with the people I care about, making even the simplest moments feel vibrant, joyful, and unforgettable.

Q: If you could be any animal, what would you be and why?
A: I would be a phoenix. The phoenix symbolizes transformation, resilience, and rebirth—qualities that mirror my life journey. Unlike any other creature, the phoenix is unique in its ability to evolve, to endure for centuries, and to rise from its own ashes after being consumed by fire. This extraordinary life cycle reflects my own experiences of facing challenges, setbacks, and moments of despair, only to emerge stronger, wiser, and more determined each time. The phoenix is a reminder that no matter how difficult the trials, renewal and growth are always possible, and that true strength is forged through perseverance and faith. Choosing the phoenix reflects not only my past and present but also the life I aim to create for my children—a legacy of courage, resilience, and the ability to rise above any circumstance with grace, power, and unwavering authenticity.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 years? 10 years?
A: In 5 years, I see myself expanding Phoenixx Media and my coaching programs to reach a truly global audience, creating more opportunities to inspire, educate, and empower people across cultures and communities. I also plan to launch the Phoenixx Foundation, which will provide a safe and transformative space for women seeking a second chance after toxic or abusive breakups and divorces—a place where they can rebuild, rediscover their purpose, and embrace their strength.

In 10 years, I envision building a legacy brand that not only continues to uplift women but also strengthens communities worldwide. Through Phoenixx Media, my coaching programs, and the foundation, I aim to demonstrate to my children—and to women everywhere—that with faith, resilience, and vision, it’s possible to rise from life’s challenges, create meaningful opportunities, and leave a powerful legacy rooted in authenticity, empowerment, and love.

Q: If you could leave a lasting legacy, what would that look like?
A: My legacy would be a movement of empowerment — a ripple effect where those I’ve inspired continue to uplift others and help them uncover their purpose; My legacy would be an audacious, unwavering force of empowerment—an enduring movement that ignites courage, resilience, and transformation in every life it touches. I envision Phoenixx Media and the Phoenixx Foundation as catalysts for change, creating platforms and spaces where women reclaim their power after toxic relationships, discover their purpose, and rise unapologetically. I want to leave behind a ripple so powerful that those I inspire continue the work, breaking cycles of fear, doubt, and limitation, and lifting others to achieve greatness in their own lives.

This legacy is not measured by accolades or recognition, but by the lives radically transformed, the communities strengthened, and the generations impacted by the example I set for my children—showing them that faith, audacity, and unwavering integrity are the cornerstones of success and influence. It is a legacy of uncompromising authenticity, fearless leadership, and boundless hope—a force that refuses to settle, refuses to waver, and refuses to allow circumstances to dictate destiny. My life’s work will echo far beyond my time, leaving a mark of empowerment, inspiration, and transformation that cannot be ignored.
