A Life of Love, Legacy, and Light
Lisa Miner is a woman whose life is rooted in love, purpose, and impact. She proudly shares her journey with her husband Bryan, the love of her life and unwavering supporter, and her daughter Kasandra, whose tenacity and pursuit of becoming a veterinarian taught Lisa about resilience and grit. Their family is a living testament to strength and encouragement.
With over 42 years in the beauty industry and two decades as a salon owner, Lisa has turned her passion for helping others feel beautiful into a mission to make others believe in their beauty—inside and out. “It’s felt more like fun than work,” she says, describing a career that served not only hair and style but healing and empowerment.
A Platform of Positivity
Lisa’s passion for service and growth birthed her platform: The Power of Positivity – Shattering Limiting Beliefs. Her belief is simple but powerful: we already have everything we need inside us to succeed. Her community outreach programs—including Teen Talk, Queens Connect Donation Drive, and Reach—are designed to help women and teens silence self-doubt and speak more kindly to themselves.
Through vision boards, affirmations, and goal setting, Lisa teaches that our minds are powerful and what we tell ourselves matters. “We are the authors of our own story,” she says. “If we change the narrative, we can change our future.”
Pageantry: Confidence from the Inside Out
Lisa entered the world of pageantry with two goals: to gain self-confidence and to become a stronger public speaker. “I wanted to speak about how I overcame my own limiting beliefs,” she shares. But what she found in pageantry was more than she ever imagined—it became a personal transformation.
“Pageantry helped me rip off the bandaid,” Lisa explains. “It allowed me to take a closer look at myself and realign with the purpose God put on my heart: to help people in any way I can.”
She calls the emotional progress she’s made “winning the internal pageant”—recognizing small, attainable victories and celebrating emotional growth. “When I replaced the idea of perfection with giving 100% effort, I noticed a shift. I learned to stop beating myself up and start acknowledging my wins.”
The Power of Self-Talk
Lisa believes that the conversation we have with ourselves is the most important one we’ll ever have. “What we tell our mind becomes our truth,” she says. Pageantry taught her to stop fearing judgment and instead embrace vulnerability. “Our experiences—especially the messy, real ones—make us relatable. They bring us together. They show that growth is possible.”
She encourages others not to fear critique, whether from judges or coaches, but to embrace it as part of the growth process. “Anything worthwhile isn’t easy—but that’s where the growth is.”
A Life of Service and Self-Care
Whether through her salon, her coaching programs, or a simple heartfelt conversation, Lisa believes in the power of presence. “Sometimes, helping someone feel pretty for just a little while can shift everything,” she says. “Other times, it’s just listening. I love being that safe space for people to explore their gifts and speak their truth.”
Through her work, Lisa touches every facet of self-care:
- Physical: Helping women feel beautiful through her salon work
- Mental: Promoting positive affirmations and internal dialogue
- Emotional: Creating safe spaces for expression and connection
- Spiritual: Listening to God’s calling and trusting her purpose
- Social: Leading community empowerment initiatives
- Professional: Coaching others while continuing to learn and grow
Favorite Quotes to Live By
Lisa draws strength from two powerful quotes that guide her journey:
- “If you think you can or you think you can’t, you’re probably right.” — Henry Ford
- “It’s in times like these we must dig deep, ignore the noise, and lean in.” — Reese Witherspoon
For Lisa, “the noise” is the inner dialogue that limits us. Her life’s mission is to help others shatter that noise—and replace it with truth, belief, and boldness.
Becoming the Spark
Lisa Miner is a woman on a mission: to ignite the spark in others that they might not see yet in themselves. Whether it’s a teenager discovering her voice, a woman setting goals for the first time, or a client finding a moment of peace in her salon chair, Lisa is there—offering belief, encouragement, and a reminder that our worth was never in question.
“You don’t have to be perfect. Just give your best,” she says. “That’s always enough.”
