Steve Harvey said ships are safe when they are in port but that’s not what ships are built for. You are built to sail. You are built to be in rough water. You are built to go far. You are not built to stay in port.
This is year 2 of Sitigirl Louisville. Year one was a year of learning myself and leaning into grace. Grace to rebuild. Grace to not know all of the answers. Grace to learn more about my capacity. Grace to rediscover me. Oftentimes we extend more grace to others than we extend to ourselves. I learned to lean into that grace and now I am ready to set sail to my destiny.
Get ready to be inspired. Get ready to set sail. You are not meant to stay bound to your past hurts, disappointments and insecurities. You are built for more than that. You, my friend are built to sail. Will there be trouble in the water? Absolutely! But if you stay in port you will never experience the life you are meant to live. So let’s set a time to leave the port and begin the rest of our lives.
