“I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful; I know that full well.” —Psalm 139:14
In a world that measures worth by waistlines, likes, filters, and fabricated “flaws,” today women are constantly in a daily battle, not
just with beauty standards, but with her own reflection. From the time we’re little girls, we’re bombarded with messages that say: “Be
smaller. Be lighter. Be quieter.” But we Siti girls know better.
We are God-defined, not society confined.
The Mirror Doesn’t Define You; Your Self Love Does
Your value is not tied to your size, your skin tone, or how many stretch marks or scars you carry. Your body is sacred, a vessel of purpose, power, and divine assignment. That means no matter what society says, you are already enough. We women should not be striving to fit
in; we are called to stand out.
I had the honor of serving as the keynote speaker recently at the Unfiltered Women’s Conference, where I encouraged women to tap
into the power of who they are; unfiltered. No masks. No shame. No societal expectations. Just your raw beauty inside and out while
standing in your radiant truth. The moment you stop shrinking to make others comfortable, your real glow begins.
Beauty Isn’t One-Dimensional, Sis
Let’s be clear: there is no one way to be beautiful. God created variety on purpose, from full curves to fine frames, deep melanin to pale
porcelain, natural coils to silky strands. Beauty is not about meeting man-made standards. It’s about reflecting God’s image, loving yourself unconditionally and being bold enough to walk in your authenticity.
So, whether you rock a size 2 or 22, beauty is not something you chase; it’s something you already carry.
Breaking the Chains of Comparison
Social media is a blessing, but it can also be a battlefield. It can cause depression if we are not careful because we’ll constantly compare
ourselves to the women, we see coming down our timelines. Filters and body-snatched influencers make it easy to feel “less than.” But
you weren’t created to compare; you were called to conquer.
You are not behind. You are not too much. You are not too little. You are right on time and divinely designed.
Beauty Standards Don’t Own You; You’re Royalty
Siti Girls aren’t bound by the society’s standards of beauty. We create our own standards and walk boldly in our authenticity. We wear
crowns, not criticism. And while we love our lashes, lippies, and locs, we know that true beauty starts within.
So, the next time you look in the mirror, smile. Fix your crown. Flip your curls. And say it loud: “I am fearfully, fashionably, and wonderfully made. I am the prize no matter the size”.
