
| Ta-Kema Rodgers is a devoted mother, leader, mentor, visionary, and powerful advocate for transformation. Born in Boston, Massachusetts and now deeply rooted in Alabama, she is known for her unwavering strength, her transparent testimony, and her ability to pour life, confidence, and purpose into every person she encounters. Her presence is impactful, her voice is purposeful, and her mission is anchored in love, healing, and empowerment. A proud mother to her two beautiful children, Michael and Aretha. Ta-Kema’s journey is deeply shaped by motherhood, faith, and generational legacy. Her children are her driving force, her reason to push forward, and her daily reminder of why she stands boldly in her truth. Everything she builds, she builds with purpose; not just for her, but for those who will come after her. After relocating to Alabama, Ta-Kema graduated from Leeds High School and went on to serve two meaningful and impactful years with AmeriCorps, working with youth and families through City Year. That experience strengthened her commitment to service and community uplift. She later furthered her education at Boston University, earning an Associate Degree in Child Psychology and Childcare, equipping her with the knowledge, compassion, and skill to support emotional development, healing, and guidance in the lives of young people. Pageantry became a part of Ta-Kema’s life at just five years old, and it has remained close to her heart ever since. To Ta-Kema, pageantry has never been about the crown alone, it has been a place of safety, expression, leadership, discipline, confidence, and sisterhood. It is where she learned to find her voice, and later, where she learned to use that voice to lift others. She is passionate about mentoring and inspiring young girls, ensuring they know they are enough, that they can dream big, walk boldly in their gifts, and become whoever they desire to be. Ta-Kema made history as the first African-American woman in Leeds, Alabama to hold a plus-size title, serving as Ms. Leeds Plus America in both 2017 and 2018. She went on to be crowned Ms. Alabama Plus America 2018, further establishing her as a role model for confidence and representation. Her journey continued with additional honors as:Ms. WBLEP – Women Business Leaders & Entrepreneurs Pageant (2019) Ms. American Elegance Woman 2022-2023.Ms. All World Beauties (2023), Ms. All World Beauties International (2024) And today she is the reigning Miss American Beauties National 2025–2026, where she uses her national platform to advocate for self-worth, restorative healing, leadership development, and the empowerment of women and girls across the country. Her crowns are not symbols of competition, they are symbols of perseverance, advocacy, and destiny. Ta-Kema is a proud member of Chi Sigma Delta Sorority, Inc., and she is also an active member of The Herprenuer Network, where she supports and connects women entrepreneurs, helping them rise in confidence, leadership, and business. In 2017, Ta-Kema founded It’s Got 2 Stop the Movement, a bold, healing-driven platform bringing awareness to domestic violence and bullying, providing visibility, education, and support to survivors, families, and communities. She later launched her movement’s T-shirt line on October 19, 2019, using fashion and messaging as a vehicle for awareness, unity, and conversation. Ta-Kema is a two-time Best-Selling Author and International Best-Selling Author. Her first book, A Queen’s Cry, is a courageous, transparent testimony of surviving domestic violence and reclaiming her identity. Her second work, 90-Day Biblical Affirmation Journal, is a spiritual tool that empowers individuals to speak life, courage, and emotional healing into themselves daily. Her journey is not just about overcoming—it is about rising and helping others rise with her. Ta-Kema stands in her truth so others may find theirs. She turns pain into purpose, silence into voice, and trauma into transformation. Today, she continues to serve with grace, lead with intention, speak with authority, and love without hesitation.
